EMPOWERING TEENS THROUGH HACKATHONS
Transform your learning. Gain real-world tech expertise. Tackle challenges. Join our hackathons that shape your learning.
About Me
My name is Arpit Ahuja
I'm Arpit Ahuja, a Great Valley High School student passionate about making STEM education accessible to all. My journey in robotics and programming, as VRC Team Captain and Lead Programmer, has given me strong skills in C++ and motion control. I've also gained valuable experience as a software developer intern at Slate Path, building a college navigation app with Next.js and AI features, and as a research intern at Penn State, working on exoskeleton trials with Python. Additionally, I'm part of an AI research group at Algoverse, focused on improving LLMs. I believe every student deserves the chance to explore STEM, and through HacktheCurriculum.com.
I aim to provide the mentorship and tools I wished I had, helping teens reach their full potential.

MY MISSION
Providing hands-on experience to Teens via hackathons, a type of "challenge-based learning"
My goal is to close the learning gap, teach teens important tech and teamwork skills, and create a worldwide community of problem-solvers who can make a real difference.

My Research
Exoskeleton Gait Training Research
I used Python to help analyze data from exoskeleton models. These models worked by placing sensors near key joints on the patient. Dr. Talaty’s team and I collaborated and used motion capture and gait data from actual stroke subjects to calibrate a simulation model (SCONE).
Algoverse AI Research
Worked with rising high school seniors from California and some on the East Coast under a mentor from UC Berkeley, Avyukth Harish. We are currently researching project ideas and putting together our project proposal before formally beginning our research.
My Activities
Leadership, Innovation & Community Impact

VRC Robotics Team Leader
Created a system using sensors to help robots know their exact location every 20 milliseconds and fix their own path. Used C++ and special movement programs (like Motion Profile and PID controller) to make our robot's automatic actions super precise. Helped the engineering and programming teams work together better.

SEWA Leads Volunteer
Contributed to community beautification efforts by helping to clean parks and temples, including the Om Shakti Temple and Sai Temple in Malvern. Assisted at local food banks to support food distribution efforts. Camp monitor at the Chester County Art Association (CCAA) for students aged 7-11. Supervised students at the art summer camp program.

Software Developer Intern at Slate Path
Building a complete app to help high school and college students navigate their educational journey. Using modern web design tools (Next.js + Tailwind CSS) to create pages that look good and work well on any device. Using Supabase to store user information and Python with AI tools to add smart features.

Research & Strategy Intern at Rise
Selected for a cohort of 25 out of over 300 applicants. Researching marketing strategies and growth opportunities for Rise. Helping maintain a strong LinkedIn profile for Rise. Assisting students on Rise's Discord server with questions about research and extracurriculars.

SAT Tutor
Hosted 6 bootcamps, each about a month long, to teach students tips on SAT math & reading. Each of my bootcamps consisted of 5-7 students who I had sessions with every week in the month of preparation for their respective upcoming SAT
Utilized schoolhouse materials, Khan Academy, and my own resources to provide my students with an enriching lesson.

Item Outreach Intern at TurnUp
Attended weekly meetings to present tasks and discuss key topics like natural disasters, politics, hunger, and employment. Spent over 5 hours weekly on phone banking to encourage voters and connect people with local officials on important issues.
PROGRAMS OFFERED
Empowering Students Through Innovative Programs
HACKATHONS
At Hackthecurriculum.com, we organize hackathons that provide a platform for students to collaborate, innovate, and create real-world solutions. Our hackathons are designed to foster creativity and critical thinking among participants, preparing them for the challenges of the future.

CODING BOOTCAMPS
Our coding bootcamps offer a structured learning environment for students to develop coding skills and gain hands-on experience in software development. Through these bootcamps, we aim to bridge the gap and provide comprehensive coding education to students from all backgrounds.
ROBOTICS MENTORSHIP
We offer robotics mentorship programs to inspire and guide students in exploring the exciting world of robotics. Our mentorship aims to cultivate a passion for engineering and technology, empowering students to become future leaders in the field of robotics.

My Coding Projects
Building Solutions Through Code
01
Echo Lib
A precise motion control and localization library for VRC Team 293Z. It includes advanced motion control algorithms like PID and Motion Profiling, plus an award-winning Odometry and distance sensor relocalization algorithm.
03
A college and high school planning application. The front end is built using Next.js and Tailwind CSS, with Supabase handling the backend. For Interview AI and Slate AI features, my team and I used Python, the OpenAI API, OpenCV, and MediaPipe.
02
Cyber Security
(To be determined - currently under development.)
04
MCL Simulator
A Python-based Monte Carlo Localization Simulator designed for a VEX High Stakes Field. It simulates four distance sensors on a 12”x12” robot, with sensor readings filtered through Gaussian noise. A particle filter is used to maintain a state belief. This simulator is being used to model MCL on my team’s VEX Push Back robot.
